The East Atlanta Village Farmers Market wraps up its 2026 season on Thursday, Nov. 19, but the neighborhood’s calendar has plenty more to offer. From fall gatherings and handmade holiday gifts to seasonal concerts and a new spot for dinner, there are reasons to keep coming back to the Village through December.
At 572 Stokeswood Ave. SE, the familiar market site hosts community events before and after the weekly farmers market closes for the season. Nearby, The EARL and 529 bring holiday music to the neighborhood—including A Very Dolly Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 20.
November Markets and a Sunday Fall Fest
The East Atlanta Village Farmers Market runs Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m., rain or shine. Its November dates are Nov. 5, 12 and 19, offering three more opportunities to pick up seasonal produce, prepared foods and locally made goods.
There’s weekend activity at the market site, too. Cryptid Creatives lists its Middle Earth Market for Saturday, Nov. 14. The following afternoon, the East Atlanta Parents Network hosts Fall Fest on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The final Thursday market also brings a neighborhood tradition: the Giving Thanks Community Potluck. According to The Porch Press’s community calendar, the Nov. 19 market opens at 4 p.m., with the potluck beginning around 6 p.m. and vendors selling until 7:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share if you’d like; everyone is welcome.
Handmade Gifts on Stokeswood
December brings two Cryptid Creatives markets to the same site, listed by the organizer as EAV Community Park. Both run from noon to 5 p.m. and welcome all ages and leashed dogs.
Nightmare Before XMAS Market — Saturday, Dec. 5
For anyone whose holiday shopping list calls for something a little unexpected, this market mixes seasonal cheer with a spooky twist. The organizer’s listing advertises more than 25 local makers, with art, handmade goods, candles, soaps, vintage finds and treats. Plans also include a DIY craft zone, music from DJ Stone and a free Santa photo station, with tips accepted. Pets are welcome for photos, too.
Winter Solstice Market — Saturday, Dec. 19
The Winter Solstice Market offers another afternoon of local gift shopping just before Christmas. The listing includes more than 25 makers, handmade goods, DIY crafts and a fire pit.
The outdoor site combines grass and gravel, with a dirt-and-gravel path connecting the entrances, so plan footwear and strollers accordingly. These markets are a starting point for an afternoon in the Village, with opportunities to explore nearby shops and restaurants along the way.
Holiday Markets and Music Across the Village
The holiday calendar extends beyond Saturday afternoons. After browsing the markets, adults can plan a seasonal concert at The EARL or return for a Sunday evening celebrating Dolly Parton at 529.
The markets welcome all ages. Both holiday concerts below are for ages 21 and older.

At The EARL, Jeffrey Bützer and T.T. Mahony perform Vince Guaraldi’s beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas score, with The Frigidaires and The Home Alones also on the bills. The four-night series runs Thursday, Dec. 17, through Sunday, Dec. 20. Saturday’s performance offers an opportunity to pair an afternoon at the Winter Solstice Market with an evening of holiday music. Performance times vary by date.
On Sunday, Dec. 20, Run Katie Run brings A Very Dolly Christmas to 529. The band’s Dolly Parton-inspired holiday show gives music lovers another reason to spend part of the weekend before Christmas in the Village.

A New Table for a Winter Evening
Sagra adds another option for an evening in East Atlanta Village. The Italian-inspired wine bar opened on Gresham Avenue in August, according to Rough Draft Atlanta’s September report.
Founder Eric Di Nardo, a former sommelier at Bacchanalia, drew inspiration from his years in Italy and the neighborhood wine bars of Venice. The food centers on sourdough pizza, focaccia and small plates, making it an inviting stop for a shared meal.
Sagra’s website now advertises pizza, wine and a full bar. At 535 Gresham Ave. SE, its current hours are:
- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 5–10 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 1 p.m.–midnight
- Sunday: 1–9 p.m.
- Tuesday: closed
Check current hours before visiting, especially around the holidays.
More Changes to Watch Along Flat Shoals
Several announced projects could add to the Village’s mix of gathering places. Their opening timelines remain something to watch rather than something to build holiday plans around.
Joystick Gamebar — 485 Flat Shoals Ave.
In July, Rough Draft Atlanta reported that Joystick would relocate from Edgewood Avenue to the former East Side Lounge space. The announced target was fall 2026, with arcade games, pinball, cocktails and an updated food menu.
Big Al’s Cigar Shop — 530 Flat Shoals Ave. SE
What Now Atlanta reported in August that the planned cigar shop and lounge was aiming for a late-September opening. That was an anticipated date, so check directly with the business for its current status.
Bar Schmutzi — 461-B Flat Shoals Ave. SE
The Little Bear team’s planned European-style wine bar is expected to offer a small food menu and wines from independent producers. Reporting on the project pointed to a potential opening in the first half of 2027, with the owners hoping for an earlier debut. Timing remains subject to change.
Looking Ahead to The Spoke
A longer-term transportation project is also on the horizon. The City of Atlanta plans to redesign the intersection of Flat Shoals Avenue, Arkwright Place, Walthall Street and Howell Drive, commonly known as “The Spoke.”
ATLDOT’s current schedule lists design completion in February 2027, construction beginning in May 2027 and completion in January 2029. The department notes that schedules and scope can change. Under that timetable, this project’s construction would begin after the 2026 holiday season.
For now, the Village’s fall and winter calendar offers plenty of ways to enjoy the neighborhood—from a community potluck and local gift shopping to dinner and holiday music.
