Druid Hills has a unique history as one of Atlanta’s first planned suburbs. The community was designed by American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, renowned for prestigious projects such as New York’s Central Park, The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., the gardens around the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., and many more. Coca-Cola founder Asa Candler was also instrumental in Druid Hills' early development. Druid Hills has held a historic designation since 1979.
 
Driving around Druid Hills, you can expect to enjoy the ride. Its winding streets are lined with mature trees and custom mansions built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The community is also home to many mid-century, traditional, and modern homes.
 
Along with its proximity to Atlanta, Druid Hills is next door to Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Other noteworthy attractions are Olmsted Linear Park, Druid Hills Golf ClubFernbank Science Center, and more.
